Subiran Regatta – June 28, an exciting race of one-man native sailboats with outriggers locally called “subiran” along scenic historic Leyte Gulf.
Pintados Festival – June 29, a dance festival of painted dancers celebrating important events like exploits of war and worship of nature.
Balyuan – June 29, a celebration of the Feast of Sto. Niño, re-enacting the historical exchange of images between Barrio Buscada of Basey, Samar and Sitio Kankabatok, now Tacloban City.
Pintados Festival – June 29, Tacloban City, Back during pre-Hispanic years, tattoos denoted courage among the natives of Tacloban. These days they symbolize a cultural revival, and a wild, wild fiesta called the Pintados. Join the town residents as they decorate themselves out in body paint, imitating the warriors of old while dancing to the frantic beat of drums.
Sto. Niño de Leyte Fiesta – June 30, grand fiesta of Tacloban celebrated with the traditional turn over ceremonies of the “Teniente” made by the immediate past Hermano Mayor to the incoming Hermano Mayor.
